Expert AC Unit Electrical Connection in Eastern Connecticut

AC unit electrical connection is a dedicated wiring service that links your air conditioning system to a safe, code-compliant power source. O'Connell's Electrical Contractors performs this work for homeowners and property owners throughout Hartford County. The service covers dedicated circuit installation, disconnect box wiring, proper wire gauge sizing, and breaker panel connections. Hartford County sits in ASHRAE Climate Zone 5A, where July highs average near 84°F and humidity frequently exceeds 70 percent on summer afternoons. That heat load puts real demand on residential electrical systems, and an undersized or improperly wired circuit can cause breakers to trip or connections to overheat. Many Hartford County homes carry older electrical panels that were not designed to carry modern AC loads. We assess your panel capacity, run the correct circuit, and wire the disconnect to meet Connecticut's adopted 2020 NFPA 70 National Electrical Code standards. Every connection is made to handle the full draw of your cooling system without strain. Call O'Connell's Electrical Contractors to schedule your AC wiring service in Hartford County.

I recently hired O’connell’s electric for a complete service upgrade from 100-amp to 200-amp, along with some additional wiring. From start to finish, the work was executed to the highest professional standard—clean, precise, and fully code-compliant. What truly stood out was Michael’s exceptional approach to the job. He was incredibly polite and courteous, took the time to thoroughly explain every step of the process, and answered all of our questions in clear, easy-to-understand terms. The upgrade was completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to our home, and the final result is outstanding. Beyond the technical expertise, he is simply an excellent human being—patient, respectful, and genuinely caring about doing the job right. I felt completely confident and well-informed throughout the entire project. I highly recommend Michael from O’Connell Electric to anyone needing electrical work. Professional, trustworthy, and truly top-tier. We will definitely use their services again and will be referring them to family and friends. Thank you for the outstanding work!

I requested the job get done on a Thursday Between 9 AM and 5 PM and Mike made it happen. Mike showed Up on time and the new 200 amp service was finished by 3 PM. Mike did a professional job, cleaned up and was very polite. I plan on hiring him again and will refer my friends who need electrical work done to Mike without any hesitation.

Mike was first contacted for a complete install of an outdoor set up for my hot tub. After Mike’s professional and clean work he has since been my go to for any issues in my home. Mike has installed lights, fans, rewired my kitchen during a complete renovation and has recommended the perfect upgrades for my home to include under cabinet lighting. Wouldn’t call anyone else from something small to a complete overhaul!

Michael O'Connell is an excellent electrician. He came and gave me an estimate the day after I called him. Then came and installed chandeliers for me about a day later. He actually calls you back or texts, shows up on time, cleans up after the work is done. Also,I think fair pricing. Very efficient person. Very easy to work with as well. I highly recommend Michael, can't say enough nice things about him. Lisa Maynard,Old Lyme
